Caregivers Phone Support Group
Tuesdays 2 – 3 pm weekly by telephone conference call for free in partnership with Queensboro Council for Social Welfare.
For family members who have found themselves taking care of their aging loved ones. This group discusses caregiving issues and concerns in a supportive environment.
If you are interested in learning more about it and scheduling a registration appointment, please fill out this form here and CWNY will contact you to schedule one. The Support Group is facilitated by a licensed social worker.

The evening will begin with a presentation/Think Tank on “Domestic Violence: One Terrible Situation With Many Tentacles” – The intersection of family law, divorce law, criminal law, immigration law in domestic violence situations.

– CWNY Plan of Action
– Followed by an annual meeting and election for positions of CWNY President and a Director (optional to attend).
The Board of Directors is responsible for the overall governance and oversight of CWNY. Board members play a vital role in shaping the organization’s strategic direction, ensuring its financial stability, and holding it accountable to its mission.

Thursday, October 24th @ 10 – 11:30 AM: “Plantings for our Native pollinators” – Fall is the perfect time for planting shrubs, perennials that will feed the pollinators for the next seasons.
***Saturday, October 26th @ 9 AM – 2 PM: “Eagle Scout Project” – Come take part in creating a pollinator pathway/garden at the women’s center. You will take part in planting shrubs, plants and perennials to feed the native birds and insects that use our greenspace. You will also help beautify CWNY!
Thursday, October 31st @ 10 – 11:30 AM: “Plants we should be afraid of and Very Afraid of!” – From Hog weeds to hemlock to deadly nightshade we will discuss the dark side of plants. Happy Halloween!
